NO GMO
Everything used in these installations was grown from seed by myself, and then harvested to create these images. I began playing with the words NO GMO as a direct message to the harm done to the land and as a reaction to industrial farming. The chemicals in our food chain and the harm these chemicals cause to the farm workers who harvest this food for us to consume. EAT WELL and then SAVE SEEDS followed. I wish to, after COVID display these as photographs and along side serve a fresh salsa for the opening- I have saved all the jalepeños and cherry tomatoes in my freezer !!!
As we look at how industrial farming/ food production has changed we need to become aware of the effects this type of farming is having on the land that we share with all beings, big and small who also inhabit this earth.
